IPL 2020 : Will MI Defend the Championship Title ??

Today we are going to preview one of the best ever IPL Teams which holds the most number of Championship on their side with their favorite name “ODD Year Champions“. Yes, indeed it’s Mumbai Indians, one of the clear favorites for IPL 2020 with expert opinions such as Harsha Bhogle, Krishnamachari Srikanth and so on.

What is Special about Mumbai Indians? It is the team in IPL which moves calculated risk and has proven to the world that they are the best in business in terms of Cricketers Selection. They have the ability to build the core team with future thinking, for example: Rohit Sharma’s career graph started in the team during Sachin’s career ending in IPL and the arrival of fresh talent every year with world class cricketing abilities such as Jasprit Bumrah, which also lies in the same category as mentioned above. Though the T20 Bowling legend Lasith Malinga is missed for the entire tournament they will have ‘like for like’ replacement for each player, and they have the world top ranked bowler in limited overs, i.e, Cricket No. 1 & No. 2 (Bumrah and Boult).

Now, we will analyse their strengths and weaknesses. Their Strength predominantly lies in one thing, they will not depend on individual star performance . Each one of the playing 11 will perform on their day, that is also the very reason why it’s rare to see Orange Cap (most run holders) with Mumbai Indians. In 2020, there are lots of expectations on Suryakumar Yadav depending on his domestic performance. With Kieron Pollard on board, they have a strong middle order along with Pandya brothers. On getting into weaknesses, their overseas selection might be a challenge, with Pollard being the default pick on their Playing 11, big buy such as Chris Lynn might not be tested for opening spot, and the inexperienced spin attack since there is no lead spinner in Mumbai except Rahul Chahar since he doesn’t have good exposure to International career and with UAE conditions being favorable for spin and slow pace attack, it might be difficult for them to crack on the starting matches.

Lets Predict our Probable X1 for MI IPL 2020 :

Rohit Sharma (c), Quinton Dekock (wk), SuryaKumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Kieron Pollard,
Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Rahul Chahar, Anukul Roy, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah.

Player to Watch out for : Surya Kumaryadav at No:3
Combination of Bumrah and Boult World’s Top Ranked limited bowlers spell at Death.
