ITR filing deadline for assessment year 2019-20 extended till Nov 30

Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the due date for filing income tax return from September 30 to November 30. This decision has been mainly made due to the COVID-19 situation. This order has been issued under section 119(2a). The Income Tax department has been sending messages and e-mails to all Taxpayers with a request to file ITR, says Shailesh Kumar, Partner, Nangia and Co LLP.
