Varun Chakravarthy, became the new sensation in the history of IPL with his mystery bowling technique, he had a worst debut in the IPL against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2019 where he debuted for Kings XI Punjab with the tag mystery bowler.But , he had a bad start in his IPL career.He was not the one who played as a professional cricketer and club cricket in his early days like every cricketers , an architect by profession on his day to day life with cricket dream in his mind and used to play tennis ball tournament in the weekends ,he started his spin bowling in the year 2017 only, before that he used to be a wicket keeper batsman but failed to select in a league matches for club cricket . In his School days he used to go for 100 selections but everytime he would not be selected for the next level even in a round-robin selection. But he never gave up his dream , his fiance and his family helped him in his rough times like injuries.. Also in an interview he mentioned his highest dream is to represent Tamil Nadu. After the Vijay Hazare Performance , Dinesh karthik picked this young man, as a net bowler in the year 2018 after that net bowler experience in Kolkata he proved his worth in this year as a wicket taking bowler in this year IPL 2020 and also soon became the successor of Sunil Narine for KKR. Surely, his TNPL experience made him successful in this year.
Basically, he was a leg spinner who used his finger to bowl carrom and it’s been difficult to hit him on the air , this is what happened in this match against Delhi Capitals , with his performance got a 5 Wicket Haul (20 -5) which was not easy in modern Day T20 Cricket.In the year 2019 , he bowled only 18 balls on representing Kings XI Punjab.But in this year 2020, he was one of the top spinner for Kolkata with 12 wickets , he justified his captain Dinesh Karthik belief over him.
