Sasha Sloan’s Music: A Therapeutic Tool

Sasha Sloan also known as sadgirl Sloan was born as Alexandra Artourovna Yatchenko on March 11th,1995. She grew up outside of Boustan and taught herself to play on a piano which her mother bought her when she was around 5 years old. When she turned 19, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in songwriting. If you look closely into her lyrics, she talks about her inmost thoughts, insecurities, distress in teens, social anxiety and depression. Now if you wondering why I titled it as a therapeutic tool, we live in a country where mental health is still a stigma and no one wants to talk about it. Music like hers could be a solution to us. Sometimes when we think of giving up or say we feel nobody understands us, in situations like these her music will help us more than anyone else. I listen to her music every day, it provides me comfort which no one else could give me. And if you’re having a rough day. Why don’t you sit back and relax by tuning in? Now quickly grab your earplugs and here are few of my song recommendations for you:
