Team India Possible Playing XI against Australia in ODI

Almost , It’s been 9 Months for the  Indian Team  to resume their International Matches, previously they lost the ODI series against New Zealand with the result of 3-0 which happened due to  loss of two prime time openers (Rohit – Dhawan) which was considered as one of the reasons for this loss. But in this series , Rohit Sharma will be unavailable for the limited over series , but Shikhar Dhawan has huge responsibility on his shoulder to carry the victory for the Team in ODI & T20’s.

India has named a 16-member squad for the ODIs with some changes from the previous series. Rishabh Pant and Prithvi Shaw have been dropped whereas Sanju Samson and Shubman Gill have been included in the Team . So let’s have a look at the predicted XI for the ODI series .

Shikhar Dhawan – Mayank Agarwal

Indian team always had a strong belief in Right-Left Combination for opening combination which will affect the opponent Team psychologically.Shikhar Dhawan will be back in the ODI Squad after his Injury, he likes playing against Aussies, If he gets good touch at the earlier stage of the Tournament, he has high chances to become player of the ODI Series. On the other hand Mayank Agarwal will open with him , his recent IPL performance against the Top bowlers shows that he might open with Dhawan.

Virat Kohli:

There is no doubt in choosing this spot for any one, The best ODI batsman in the world will be back in action for India after eight months. All the Indians and even some Australians are waiting to see him score the big runs in Australia. He had a habit of scoring a century every year from 2009 in any of the one formats, if we failed to witness his Century it seems the Century streak will be broken in the year 2020 .

Shreyas Iyer:

Shreyas Iyer was one of the positive for Indian Cricket Team also he scored his Maiden ODI Century in a away series and will resolve the problem of N0:4 in Indian Team which was existing for the past few years, His presence and recent experience will give a strong middle order option for the team.

KL Rahul:

KL Rahul was one of the strong pillars for the team and also been watched as a replacement for the legend MSDhoni , previously he didn’t opt for the skills which he was performing right now (wk-Batsman), he was taken for the opening combination and No:4 Batsman. Later he didn’t get any chance in the team since it affected  the team balance. But after the Pant Injury he grabbed the opportunity and utilised his position executed the process successfully which made him successful in recent Matches. Also , he has the finisher role in terms of chasing the score. He has huge responsibility to balance both lower-Middle order and need to anchor the match if early wickets happen.KL Rahul at No:5 will be a great asset for the Indian Team in future for that he needs to get enough game time to replace the legend like MS Dhoni.

Hardik Pandya:

It depends on his fitness whether he will be treated as an all-rounder or Batsman. But Mostly he will play as  Batsman for the Team at No:6 position.. Even if he is not fit to bowl, he is a good enough player to get a place as a pure batsman. Coming in at No.6 he will need to play the aggressive role which suits him. If Pandya is not fit to bowl then Jadeja might need to bowl all his ten overs.

Ravindra Jadeja:

He is the only all rounder in the Current ODI Squad for the team and with his recent forms in batting , he has the ability to finish the matches but need to get stronger and economical along with the Chahal  in the bowling since India will be playing with only five bowling options.

Yuzvendra Chahal:

He was one of the prime Time bowlers for the Indian Cricket Team in recent years. His leg spin ability and flying the ball through the air will  get him wickets in Australian conditions with bigger boundaries and the last time when he played an ODI in Australia he picked up six wickets in that game.
