What is a War Room ? How it Helps for Current Situation

The term War Room was rooted during the time of World War I and World War II. The first war room was established in the year of 1901. Were the military higher officials had their meeting and discuss the plan and strategies to how to win the war.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on May 5 had Apprised the officials to Launch a Covid-19 war room. 

What is a War Room ?

The term War Room was rooted during the time of World War I and World War II.  The first war room was established in the year of 1901. Were the military higher officials had their meeting and discuss the plan and strategies  to how to win the war.

The most notorious war room was first created by former prime minister of United Kingdom Mr. Winston Churchill . Even today modern London, you can find the Notorious Museum have the very first war room.

In that war room the former prime minister of united kingdom had his discussion with the military higher officials and leaders to discuss the plan and tactic of how to win the Germans during the world war. Mostly the war room is a physical room, But in the modern day it also include both physical and virtual discussions. 

War room is not only the used during war, it also helps IT firms, Banking sector to discuss their projects.

War room for covid ?

As similar the very first war room, the war room for covid have the similar Formation. From the statement of Chief minister Office, “Tamil Nadu government has set up a Covid-19 war room, that will monitor the available number of beds, ambulance services, and oxygen supply.”  

The state of Kerala already launched a war room , Dr Vivek Kumar, additional district medical officer, explained how the system works in Ernakulam war room. “The centralised war-room has different units such as surveillance, oxygen, shifting of patients, teleconsultation etc. For the sake of accuracy, we have decentralised the various units of the war-room while retaining the centralised system at the district level. For example, if a patient has to be shifted to a FLTC nearby, it is routed through the taluk-level control room in that area. But if the patient then has to be shifted to a Covid hospital or apex hospital ICU, it will be routed through the centralised system,” he said.

Already State like Maharashtra, Delhi, Bangalore have the War Rooms for COVID. In the above said list, Now Tamil Nadu also going to establish a centralised War Room for covid.
